Terms & Conditions
- To submit a video you must be an international student currently studying in the UK.
- Your video must be your own work.
- Your video must be in one of the following formats:
WMV (8 or 9), 3GP, MOV, QT, MPEG (1,2 or 4), FLV, or AVI.
- File size must not exceed 20MB.
- Video length must not exceed 10 minutes.
- There is no limit to the number of videos submitted per person and we may choose more than one entry per person.
- Education UK will not upload any video that is considered potentially offensive or that infringes on the copyright of third parties.
- Education UK does not guarantee to use any video submitted.
- Any incentives offered will be distributed at the discretion of Education UK. You will not automatically receive an incentive reward once you have uploaded your video.
- Please do not take any unnecessary risks, endanger yourself or others, or break any laws when creating your video.
Terms of use for submitting videos to www.educationuk.org
- By sharing any contribution (including any text, photographs, graphics, video or audio) with Education UK you agree to grant to Education UK, free of charge, permission to use the material in any way it wants (including modifying and adapting it for operational and editorial reasons) in any media worldwide. Education UK may also share your contribution with trusted third parties.
- You will retain the copyright of your video. Your permission granted to Education UK to use your contribution is not exclusive, so you can continue to use the material in any way including allowing others to use it.
- In order that Education UK can use your video, you confirm that your contribution is your own original work, is not defamatory and does not infringe any UK or international laws, that you have the right to give Eduction UK permission to use it for the purposes specified above, and that you have the consent of anyone who is identifiable in your contribution or the consent of their parent / guardian if they are under 16.
- Education UK will not accept material that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, libellous, threatening, pornographic, harassing, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, or encourages conduct that would be considered a criminal offence, give rise to civil liability, violate any law, or is otherwise inappropriate.
- Education UK may need to contact you for further information regarding your submission. By uploading your video onto www.educationuk.org you grant Education UK permission to contact you. For further details of the methods in which we may contact you, please refer to our Privacy policy.
- By submitting your video to www.educationuk.org you guarantee that you are an international student currently studying in the UK. Education UK may need to contact you or obtain suitable references to confirm this. For further details of the methods in which we may contact you, please refer to our Privacy policy.
- Education UK reserve the right to remove any videos uploaded to www.educationuk.org or any third party sites at any time.
- You are only eligible for a prize if your video has the highest number of views on www.youtube.com/projectorhead at the end of any two month period beginning 15th September 2008. If two videos have an equal number of views then the winner will be based on the highest ratings. If your video does not win in the first two-month period it is uploaded onto the channel, it is still possible to win in any of the following two month periods, providing it has the highest number of views/ratings at the end of the respective two-month period. Any prize awarded is at the discretion of Education UK. You may choose from one of the following: Apple iPod Touch 8GB, Nintendo Wii, Canon MD235 Camcorder or Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS5 Digital Camera. If your first choice of prize is unavailable, you will be offered another prize from this list or a different prize of equivalent value. All prizes are subject to availability. Although you are welcome to upload more than one video, you will only be eligible to win one prize
